Obama: I’m going to wretch!

I think this is the first time I have commented on politics on this blog. I know it is not appropriate to talk about politics on a blog. That should be left to pastors, preachers, and Christian talk radio shows. However, things have just gone too far in this country and I have to speak out.
As you probably know, the activist judges on the broken Supreme Court recently decided that the terrorists in Guantanamo have the right to see a judge. This makes me sick to my stomach, naturally. However, this is not the worst of it. You can almost expect such a thing from activist courts these days.
The real problem is that one of the candidates for President actually supports this decision!
Before I go into that, let me explain the situation of the terrorists in Guantanamo. Every single one of them is known to be a terrorist. We know this because some unidentified person with some affiliation to the Bush administration suspects that there might be evidence that they are members of a group about which some unidentified person with some affiliation to the Bush administration suspects that there might be evidence that it has, through a series of things called “links”, some connection to Al Quaeda. Now that was a long sentence. From here on out, I will abbreviate it this way: SUPWSATTBASTTMBETTAMOAGAWSUPWSATTBASTTMBETIHTASOTCLSCTAQ. But let me sum it up: every single one of them is known to be a terrorist.
There is no need for an impartial judge to get involved. The only moral thing to do with a person who SUPWSATTBASTTMBETTAMOAGAWSUPWSATTBASTTMBETIHTASOTCLSCTAQ is to put them in Guantanamo forever. Please don’t talk to me about “access to a lawyer”, “evidence presented”, “habeus corpus”, “legal defense”. A SUPWSATTBASTTMBETTAMOAGAWSUPWSATTBASTTMBETIHTASOTCLSCTAQ is a terrorist. How could some unidentified person with some affiliation to the Bush administration who has a suspicion be wrong? I mean, it’s not as if they can just put anybody they don’t like in there! There has to be some suspicion that there might be some evidence of something.
Not only that, but there have been some kind of trial-like proceedings already, overseen by Bush’s most trusted military judge-like people, that have positively determined that these people were terrorists. And they didn’t need lawyers or evidence presented or anything! It was much more efficient than the broken US court system.
What’s worse is that one of the candidates for president supports the Supreme Court’s decision to give these terrorists access to trials in US courts: Barack Obama. John McCain, on the other hand, loudly condemned the court’s decision and Obama for supporting the decision. So the world hasn’t gone completely crazy.
But here is what makes me the sickest: there are apparently a lot of people in the US (though not here at our University) who plan to vote for Barack Obama! How can anyone support a presidential candidate who supports such a decision? What is our country coming to?
Sorry, folks. I’m just too upset about this. I can’t continue.
